Mark has Just been advised that the Absolut Country Compilation is OUT NOW through Itunes and featuring  "The Great Divide" as Produced by Brian Canham and Mastered by Martin Pullan.

Mark has also been named Soloist to catch live in 2011 on Parx-e.com.

He was also inlcuded on the Parx-e Volume 2 compilation and has since been asked to audition for the WCOPA (World Championships Of Performing Arts) to be held in Hollywood in 2012.

Mark has also been accepted as a full AMCOS member and has been accepted on The Bundy Bash in October 2012 in Bundaberg along with Adam Toms and various country acts from around Australia.

Mark has also made the Top 60 acts for the Integrity Band Competition through  Gray Recording Studios in Paramatta , Sydney

On the live front Mark recently performed with Tasmanian band "Fritz"  playing trumpet on a few tunes and also played trumpet with The Vagrants at The Blues and Roots Festival in Bendigo.

Mark has also performed solo acoustic @ The Igdaf bar with Dear Stalker and Hot Canary as well as The Very Special Kids day for Weekend Warriors , Torquay Hotel ,Bar Pizza with Chris Wilson and The Moriac Festival.

Where did that time go?

He recently did an Interview on RPP Mornington Pennsula Radio with Caz and Freddo. Mark also has performed at The Ocean Grove Festival, Bar Pizza in Geelong coming Runners up in a performance contest .

Mark has has his fair share of ups and downs this quarter. He has been recently asked to include "The Great Divide" on  the Absolut Country Compilation through www.Valleyarm.com . This means the song will be available in Asian region  as well as mobile digital stores like Nokia music. 

Unfortunately after The Brunswick Hotel gig on the 4th June Mark had some gear stolen from his car . 1 x Takamine acoustic guitar EF340 - some marks on the lower housing and his YAMAHA CP33 keyboard . If you do know the whereabouts of these instruments to email  mark@markgardnermusic.com

Luckily Mark has spare instruments and great friend sto help him through this time.

Mark has also been seen peerforming at local shops and back again at The Ocean Grove Hotel and Torquay hotel recently supporting Jo Dawson and Jack Forsey. Mark has also since been asked to perform at The Southern X Fest in the UK in 2012. Mark is also officially launching a solo "The Great Divide" tour soon. I know it has been a while but heaps is happening for Mark.

 

Mark has had numerous local radio appearances over the last few months including

 

3MDR FM live interview and acoustic performance with Michelle Slater's Midnight Oil show and Michelle has also rotated my songs on air since.

 3WCB FM on Mark Nunis Wonderful World show including live acosutic performance,interview and podcast. Mark has also rotated my songs since.

3RPP FM on Caz Jamieson's show live interview and performance  and she is constantly rotating "The House Of Love", "Ebony St" and "The Great Divide" EP

"Rain On my Parade" .

Mark was also invited down to The Upwey Country Music Club and 3VyV FM Country show host Peter was in teh audience and has since been playing my tunes on his show

Mark has been asked to perform at H20 concert with The Broken Sweethearts on Sat Feb 12th @ The Gunbower Hotel, 118 Murray Valley Hwy, Gunbower along with bands such as  Cloudmouth, The Chris Meek Band, John Bacon Blues Band and Lord Bishop ....Cd's ,T-Shirts will be available.

This is also being plugged on 3AW and will be promoted on ABC 774 on 7.30am Friday 11th Feb morning.

Mark also performed and was interviewed recently for 3RPP -Mornington Peninsula Radio on 98.7 Mhz on FM band at the Antique and Collectibles show at Mornington Racecourse on Sunday January 30th . A big thanks to Carol Jamieson from Peninsula Music Agency and Promotions (P.M.A.P) and all staff at 3RPP.

Mark's wife Lisa had a 4pd 6 baby girl on January 17th named Charlotte Olivia Gardner.

 

"Where The Floody Hell Are you" busking gig held in late January on Friday arvo raised over $1000. This was brought together via Mark Gardner on Facebook and Between the Wars band member Superjay and 12 othe r musos got together for the day.

These included The Duframes, Liz,Sarath and Sarah Jessica amongst many others.

 Lookout for more gigs planned in coming months as the need for money for our mates in QLD will need to be ongoing.....
